Dr Akura's brother was coming to visit from Kanagawa Prefecture, accompanied by his children, who also joined him for a three-day, two-night stay. Since we're around the same age, I was invited to join them on a few adventures. Considering that I had just completed some significant and meaningful drawings, I decided to take a three-day break and participate in these excursions.
On a sunny Saturday afternoon, I picked his brother up from Shirahama Airport while his children were enjoying a shrimp-catching expedition in Koza with their uncle. Unfortunately, I missed the offramp by accident, leading us to a longer coastal drive. However, this unexpected detour rewarded us with a sighting of playful monkeys and a sublime sunset along the way. As the day progressed, we eventually made it back to the rendezvous point where the rest of the crew was waiting at a hot spring.
Feeling refreshed and rejuvenated, we ended the evening with delectable seafood at a local izakaya. It was a wonderful opportunity to get to know the family better. The night concluded with laughter, karaoke sessions, and even some new lessons.
